Wouldn’t it be great if it was possible to capture the beauty of Bali and create a musical instrument that could be played that supports many styles of music including Balinese and western jazz whilst giving the player an experience and reminder of what it is to be in Bali enjoying the fantastic artistry of the local artists and wood carving craftsmen. Then to feed money back into the local community schools and hospitals so that local people can benefit.
Extrapolate this further and imagine different countries and regions from around the world each having their own artistic style and musical sonority contributing a different instrument to the collection until a whole orchestra of instruments becomes available reflecting the ethnic diverstity and multi-cultural spirituality of our entire planet, a journey that starts here and carries on expanding…
